Before using the pan for the first time, it is advisable to season it to improve its non-stick properties. To season it, cover the pan with a thin layer of oil and heat it over medium heat for a couple of minutes. After that, let it cool, remove the oil, wash it with warm water and mild soap, and dry it with a soft cloth. The pan will be ready for cooking!
If you cook on ceramic or induction hobs, make sure the cooking surface is clean. Otherwise, food residues such as salt or sugar could scratch the base of the pan and the hob.
Do not use steel spatulas when cooking — use wooden or silicone ones.
Do not pour cold water immediately after using the pan. A strong hot/cold contrast could deform the base of the pan or grill.
Do not use metal scouring pads or the rough side of sponges to wash it. Always use a soft cloth or the soft side of the sponge, as otherwise you may damage the non-stick coating or scratch the surface.
Most pans are dishwasher safe, but some detergents are very abrasive and speed up the deterioration of the non-stick coating. Therefore, hand washing is always the best option.
