Quantanium Non-Stick Coating

Modified on Wed, 9 Jul at 11:23 AM

Quantanium is a high-quality non-stick coating that poses no problems if used properly. This version of Quantanium is grey in color, and like most non-stick coatings that are lighter than black, it tends to darken with use, which is completely normal. This does not mean that the non-stick coating is no longer working.

You start noticing food sticking when the coating has worn down or deteriorated. This is always due to improper use of the pan, such as:

  • Scrubbing the inside of the pan with a scouring pad when cleaning.

  • Overheating the pan during cooking (high heat without food or oil).

  • Using abrasive kitchen utensils with the coating, such as metal utensils that scratch the base.

On the other hand, a defective non-stick coating shows bubbles on the surface, indicating that the coating did not adhere properly during the manufacturing process.

If this is the case, please send us a picture clearly showing the damage.
